June Block - And Sew We Craft QAL

I left June's block until the last few hours of the month to complete! I had thought about it and chosen the fabrics, but just hadn't got round to it before last night!

Sorry the picture isn't great!
I suddenly realised that it was July tomorrow! (Well today now!)

The fabrics I have used are one from Kate Spain's collection Cuzco for Moda (I'm not sure of the name of the fabric off the top of my head), Bella solids petal pink  and grey.  This block really was pretty easy to make, there are no matching seams or complicated parts to the block. It's straightforward and a great one for showcasing a great fabric I think!

Can you believe it's already July? I am in shock! June just literally flew by for me; I am now 29 weeks pregnant and that is scary!

It suddenly seems that the summer is going to fly by and my due date will be upon us.  This is great news of course, I can't wait to meet my daughter! But it suddenly seems like there is an never ending list of things to get done before she arrives!

1. My husband needs to convert half the garage to a office, so my mum has somewhere to stay when the baby arrives!
2. I need to complete my first ever tax return!! EEEk!
3. The window frames need painting - they have been half painted since we moved in a year and a half ago!
4. The walls needs painting again - well the parts where Harri has scribbled all over them anyway!
5. I need to make a car seat/ moses basket quilts for the baby.
6. I want to make a cotbed quilt for the baby.
7. I want to make a single bed quilt for Harri (this is unlikely in the time I have!).
8. We need to finish the nursery, skirting board and painting are needed!

and I'm sure there are many others jobs!

Well I better go and do some of them...

Happy First of July!
